The Innovation Award recognises an initiative, idea or development that advances Australian distilling through creativity, experimentation or new ways of doing business.
Innovation may occur across many areas of the industry, including production techniques, product development, sustainability practices, packaging, visitor experiences, export strategy or business model innovation. Entries may relate to a specific project, product, process or initiative implemented within the past two years.
Who should enter?
Open to financial ADA members.
The innovation must have been introduced or significantly developed within the past 24 months.
Examples may include:
- new spirit styles or botanical development
- production or distillation techniques
- packaging or design innovation
- cellar door or visitor experience concepts
- export or distribution models
- new business or collaboration models
Judges will consider:
- Originality
- Impact
- Implementation
- Industry advancement
Entry includes:
Applicants will be asked to provide:
- a brief distillery overview
- a description of the innovation
- details on the development process
- the impact of the innovation
- optional supporting evidence
